I would say that the test result was pretty accurate. I was happy with my result. I was surprised that only couple of people were in my section. I was in High D to I section, where everyone wrote their names really big and were determined to be "the leader. " I do not think people perceive me as a leader in the beginning because I tend to be shy and listen to others. However,after a while, I will end up talking the most and share my thoughts. I do not let anyone boss me around nor do I boss anyone around. However, I get very mad or upset when people do not agree with me. I will start argue and will not lose. I am very stubborn but I do try to understand other people. Sometimes, I speak up and act as a leader right away. I like having the power and being a leader. I may not be the most organized person in the world,but I am responsible. I do not quit and I like challenges. I like adventures and trying out new stuff. I do participate in all of my classes. I am not really afraid of talking out loud.
I think these test do help people in terms of finding out each person's management type. It will also help people learn about themselves.
For the winter survival scenario, I think I would want type C leader/manger to be around. This leader/manager will concentrate on key details, think analytically, weigh pros and cons. This person will be aware of the circumstances and find the best solution that will help me survive.

Oh my God, I think I found my double.... No kidding, you have just described the type of person I am. Except with a few things. I am a D high C. I am also very STUBBORN and SHY. I do listen and consider other opinions because sometimes it helps me look at my mistakes.
ReplyDeletePeople who know me well think I am sometimes bossy. I think I am sometimes. Is just that I like things to be done almost perfectly. I don't demand people to do them for me, I do them myself. I just like them very well done if you decide to help me. Is that bad?????
Well, about the winter survival scenario I think C is a good personality type but we also need to take action. We also need a D type, I would say. The Dominance type would consider the pros and cons but also take action. Very challenging but not dangerous.
I think a team needs all the traits is DISC to be able to accomplish goals. Every single one of the personalities in DISC plays an important part in a group as a whole. If you don't have a D leader you'll not make a decision fast, but without the C group you will not have much information to support the decision because C points out all possibilities of pros and cons and targets accuracy. I group helps the leader to influence and persuades other to join and the S group tries to support the whole from falling apart. We all have traits of DISC in us but we just show more of one over the other. So it's good to have a balance so an agreement can be reached in the group.
ReplyDeleteEsther, I think the description of D high I really accurately told your personality. I think you have a really high D characteristic inside of you. Also, your ability to influence others to trust you is also really strong.

I haven't done any experiments with you, but i already knew who you were when i saw you, in other various events. I agree, i think you are a High D to I. Namely i can tell because of the times you do participate in class. When you speak, you're very clear on what you have to say and you like to be respected, specially the time when you noted to the other classmates to be quiet cause you were talking. that shows dominance, but not too much cause you weren't wrong about it, it was pretty disrespectful. But just from the way you talk i think i can understand why your personality is a High D to I.
