My Beautiful Future

As I was growing up, I dreamed of many things. However, as I was getting older, I realized that I couldn't just dream but needed to set a goal and plan it to achieve it. Before I went to college, I did not know what I was going to do because I had no passion for anything. However, my parents have helped me to set a goal and find my career. I am planning to get a CPA in two and a half years and work at one of big four accounting companies. Sounds little boring? This isn't my dream but it is one of steps that I need to take to achieve my ultimate goal. After working for a year or so, I am going to save money to go to law school. My dream school is Yale. I am going to do whatever it takes to go to Yale law school. I am planning to study at Yale either bankruptcy law or financial law and become a bankruptcy or financial lawyer. At the same time, I want to keep on studying Buddhism and hopefully become enlightened. I am also planning to take pottery classes starting this year and open my own gallery before I turn 30. I am also planning to continue on playing violin and join one of NYC orchestras this fall. One of my biggest dream is to travel the world and learn all the cultures. I want to learn French, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, German and etc. I am also planning to live in Iceland after my retirement and design my own igloo house and get a penguin. Don't worry, I am not crazy. However, it is my dream and I hope to come true in one day. Until then, I am going to work hard and just keep on moving.

  1. heyy, it seems like you're dreams/goals are just milestones along a final destination, which is your happiness. Its nice to see that you have so much planned out for your future, and how each of your goals somehow interlink with each other. Personally, i can relate, i also think about my future and i mean future, like 30+. I say if you have that drive and motivation go for it, its always better to have a dream than be dreamless. Good luck with everything, and it was a tasty cup noodle at relay for life.

  2. There is a lot of future accountant at our class. And most of us want to get the CPA and work for one of the big four. However, it seems to me that you are not really interest in Accounting.you are here because you are doing what your parents want you to do. It's not your vision and surely it will not inspire you for your action. i think you should be what you really want to be. so work hard and go to Yale law school. GOOD LUCK

  3. I like your vision for going to Yale law school. I personally think abou getting my MBA at Harvard Business School. The pottery class is a cool idea, I did it when I was in a summer camp, and it was so much fun. I share your dream of traveling the world and to learn many languages. It is not easy to learn a foreign language, but it really helps to learn a new culture and country. I wish good luck in reaching your goals.
